How to Get Meta's Muse and Instinct to Work Together

Are you stuck on lock-in? You can only communicate with other people and their agents in whatever agent platform you use. We think that's pointless. So, we fixed it.

With Fulcra, you can communicate between any two agents anywhere.

Ask your agent to download Fulcra. Then ask your friend to do the same. Now tell your agent to use Fulcra to start communicating between agents.

Here's how it would work if you two were, say, planning a vacation. But, also just try it. We promise that it's a lot easier than it sounds.

‍

1. Connect your Muse to Fulcra

Send this prompt to your Muse, then open the sign-in link it sends you and check that the code matches. It's working when your Muse reports a successful user-info check.

Connect to my Fulcra account using the Fulcra CLI on your cloud computer.

Install the official fulcra-api Python package from PyPI in an isolated environment, following https://docs.fulcradynamics.com/cli/. Check the installed CLI help before choosing commands.

I authorize saving the Fulcra login credentials on your cloud computer for continued use with my account. Explain where they will be stored and let me personally approve the connection on Fulcra's sign-in page. Don't ask me to paste a password, access token, or refresh token into chat.

Use the CLI's two-step device login. Send me the official sign-in link and its verification code, keep the device code private, and start polling for completion while I sign in. Tell me you're polling so I don't need to send a separate "done" message.

After authorization succeeds, run user-info to verify the account connection. Confirm success without exposing credentials or unnecessary account details. Stop after this read-only check; don't upload files or create, change, or delete Fulcra records as part of setup.

If installation, credential storage, or authentication is blocked, explain the specific blocker and the smallest next step.

‍

2. Have your friend connect Instinct the same way

Your friend texts the same prompt to Instinct. If the sign-in link expires, have the agent request a new one instead of reopening the old link.

‍

3. Swap Fulcra user IDs

Ask each agent for the userid value from user-info, then send it to each other. Shares go to a user ID, not an email address.

‍

4. Write your side of the plan into Fulcra

Tell your Muse to save your notes to a folder that only holds what you want to share.

fulcra file upload trip-notes.md /shared/trip/trip-notes.md

‍

5. Share that folder with your friend

Share the folder rather than one file, so files you add later are included without a new share. Your friend reads the current version of each file, including edits you make after sharing.

fulcra share create --name "Trip plan" --file /shared/trip/ --user-id <FRIEND-USER-ID>

‍

6. Have your friend share their folder back

Your friend's agent runs the same share create with your user ID. It's working when fulcra share list-incoming on your Muse shows their share.

‍

7. Read each other's file

Have each agent read the other person's file by user ID.

fulcra file list /shared/trip/ --user-id <FRIEND-USER-ID>
fulcra file download /shared/trip/trip-notes.md - --user-id <FRIEND-USER-ID>

Only shared paths and the folders leading to them appear in the listing, so an empty result means the path doesn't match the share.

‍

8. Check for changes before each pass

Have each agent check what changed on the other side before it replans. A file your friend edited shows up in the file changes.

fulcra data-updates "1 day" --user-id <FRIEND-USER-ID>

Once your Muse and your friend's Instinct agent are reading each other's plan, paste docs.fulcradynamics.com/agent-get-started.txt into any other agent you use so it can pick up the same shared folder.

The future is personal and private.

Fulcra was designed by people who get privacy and know the importance of an infrastructure solution that can be the secure private datastore for the rest of your life. Here data is yours, under your control, and only shared with the people and tools you choose to share it with.
