Short answer: The assistant needs read access to your location history as data it can query by time. With Fulcra, you opt in to location in the Context iOS app (Google Maps location updates are supported too); any MCP client can then call get_location_at_time or get_location_time_series, and agents with a shell can run location-at-time or location-time-series with -r to get addresses instead of coordinates.
Your phone knows where you've been, but assistants can't see it. Questions like "where was I last Tuesday afternoon?" need location history plus a way to look it up by time and turn coordinates into places.
You want an assistant to answer questions like:
It also helps when you want location next to calendar or health data: "which of last week's meetings did I attend in person?"
get_location_at_time and get_location_time_series.Agents with a shell can use the CLI:
uvx fulcra-api location-at-time "2 days ago" -r
uvx fulcra-api location-time-series "1 week" -r
uvx fulcra-api apple-location-visits "1 week"
uvx fulcra-api google-location-updates "1 month"
-r reverse geocodes coordinates into addresses. location-at-time returns the closest sample up to four hours earlier by default (-s sets the window in seconds). The other commands take a relative range like "1 week" or two ISO 8601 start and end times.
Turning it off. Location has its own permission, so you can turn it off in iOS settings without stopping other data. You can revoke an assistant's access and export your data at any time. Deleting location history on its own isn't available yet; deleting your account removes all of your data.
get_calendar_events (CLI: calendar-events "1 week").Written by Fulcra. We make one of the tools recommended on this page.
